Order documents for Shopify merchants who sell into the EU.
Invoices, credit notes and packing slips — built around EU rules, with German and French depth, from one engine.
What Ratiora is
Ratiora is a Shopify app that turns an order into the documents a merchant is required to issue, and keeps them. Every document is produced from an immutable snapshot of the order, numbered without gaps, checked by the official open-source validators before it is delivered, and kept in an audit-ready archive that is versioned and never expires.
- Invoices, credit notes, packing slips — with the mandatory fields and wording for Germany and France.
- E-invoicing formats — EN 16931 CII XML embedded as Factur-X in a PDF/A-3 document.
- Three languages — English, German and French, for the admin and for the documents themselves.
- Documents you are required to issue are always issued — a usage tier is never a reason to stop generating one.
Who it serves
Merchants on Shopify who sell to customers in Germany and France — from a shop in the EU or from outside it — and who want their order documents to hold up when an accountant, an auditor or a tax office asks for them. Especially those for whom that is a source of worry rather than a solved problem.
Where it stands
Ratiora is in development and is planned to launch in early 2027, in the Shopify App Store. There is nothing to install yet, and no data is being processed. If you would like to hear when it is ready, or you sell into Germany or France and want to tell us what your documents need to do, write to us.
